Claim Against Hair Stylist After Perm Goes Wrong – £5000 Settlement

Mulderrigs represented Mandy Corden in her  perm claim against a hairdresser.

Mandy went to a salon in Greater Manchester for a perm.

But the stylist left the perming solution on her fair for far too long, which caused serious damage to her hair.

Mandy’s hair became brittle and started snapping off, and she had to have it all cut very short.

Suing a hairdresser  in a hair damage claim can be a difficult business.

But Mulderrigs have dealt with several hundred successful hair claims against negligent hair stylists, including lots of perm claims like Mandy’s.

So we were happy to take on her case and we agreed to work on “no win no fee” terms.

We contacted the negligent hairdresser and her insurers to notify them about the claim.

A hair expert (a trichologist) prepared a helpful report in support of the case, which is essential in all hair damage claims.

The expert said that that it would take four or five years for Mandy’s hair to grow back to its pre-damaged state.

The insurers for the hair stylist denied doing anything wrong.

So we brought court proceedings in order to prove the case.

The insurers then agreed to negotiate with us.

Mandy then accepted a settlement offer of £5,000 for the damage to her hair.
