Accident At A Hotel – Guest Recovers £6000

Mrs Hartson was involved in an accident at a hotel whilst attending a wedding in Berkshire.

She tripped and fell over a concealed step.

As a result of the accident she suffered a nasty wrenching injury to her arm.

Her local high street solicitor, told her “You haven’t got a case.”

Mulderrigs didn’t agree!

The law imposes a duty on the operators of hotel to take care for the safety of visitors (Occupiers’ Liability Act 1957).

Mrs Hartson had clear pictures of the dangerous looking step.

So we were quite satisfied that the hotel owners were in breach of their legal duty.

We took on Mrs Hartson’s case and agreed tact on “no win no fee” terms.

We delivered a detailed letter of claim to the hotel and their insurers quickly admitted responsibility for the accident.

Mrs Hartson then visited a medical expert who prepared a detailed report about her injury.

The insurers for the hotel then entered into negotiations with us.

Mrs  Hartson settled her claim for just over £6000.
